Lori Openshaw, PhD

Dynamic, organized, and determined, Dr. Openshaw created Little Sprouts Nature School to offer a unique, outdoor learning experience to families in the community who are looking for alternatives to the traditional structured classroom setting. Lori has an incredible passion for nature immersion and early childhood education. After earning a PhD in Engineering Education, Lori realized that the traditional indoor classroom structure wasn't the best way to teach students to explore and develop a love of learning. Since pivoting to a child-led nature school, she's seen the spark of passion and curiosity in students and hasn't looked back from outdoor school since.
